ABOUT ME

Picture
Creativity is in my soul, and makes me who I am. I was born in California in 1968. I spent my childhood using my imagination, and creating the world that I loved. I was influenced by art in its many forms, from both sides of my family, but my greatest influence was my Grandfather, David Seyler (1917-2010). He was known for sculpture, ceramics, painting, print making, stained glass, and teaching in the Mid-West. I studied Psychology at San Diego State University, but art kept its strong pull on me. I started by painting murals in homes and businesses in my earlier years, and now am a youth instructor at Arts Umbrella Studio in Bothell, WA. I love creating a space for creativity to flow, and young minds to explore the beautiful world of art.  I enjoy taking art classes and workshops, and am always looking to grow as an artist. I work in acrylics and oils, but I love drawing, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, and finding new mediums to play with. I use my family, my experiences, and my love of travel to influence my work.
Welcome to my online portfolio.

MY WORK

My past work is in acrylic, but will be adding on oils as this year progresses. I am most attracted to exploring figurative work and abstraction. I use the people in my life, ideas and emotions, and my travels in the world, as inspiration.
