An Experiment in making a copy

My family has been fortunate to own some fabulous art work. Mostly due to the great eye and collecting abilities of my dear grandparents. My cousin owns this fabulous beauty (pictured below). The painter was an art student of my Grandfather David Seyler. The model, my beautiful grandmother Rosemary Seyler. The original artists name was Phyllis Moyer who we believe was a high school art student involved in an All State Fine Arts Course in 1949 on the University of Nebraska campus. My aunt has tried to research her, but this is the only work we have found. Grandpa said that Phyllis just painted that one, and didn't go further with her art. We all are in agreement that that is a shame,  she was truly gifted.
I loved my cousins painting so much, that I decided to copy it in oil. My painting is the one above. Phyllis's is pictured below in the metal frame. My only definite change was adding a better hand, which I used my own as a model. (So this is my grandmother with my hand!)
